HBCU's and Their Ignorance

HBCU's have been around for over 100 years, and they were originally created to give Black students a chance at a higher education, which they were previously unable to get in America.
HBCU's have always been a safe haven for Black students, giving them a place to be surrounded by people who look like them, behave like them, come from similar backgrounds as them, and who wouldn't judge them for being themselves.
Over the course of the years, HBCU's have taken away chances from Black students who want to further their education at a historically Black institution. They give minority and athletic scholarships to non-Black students, while rejecting a Black student from their school. It's crazy!
Along with that, they tend to hold their non-Black students to higher standards, and the institution may treat them better. They put them in better housing, give them better scholarships, and also give them better opportunities.
For a place that was created for Black students to be themselves in a safe space for Black people, you would think that they would not bring in any white or non-Black students to intrude on that.
Now, it may not be that serious to some, but to me, I feel as if it is not right.
What are your thoughts? How do you feel?
